About Dover
Dover is steeped in history, so it offers a mix of ancient and modern buildings throughout the town. With a population of around 65,000 people but lots of open spaces, you will not find yourself feeling crowded or enclosed.
You can see Dover is a hilly area, inbetween 3 valleys. Its isnt sparsely populated and there is plenty of trees and greenery. Its quite slow paced and relaxed town.
By Road: The M20 and M2 connect directly to Dover making an easy 11/2 hours drive from the centre of London. National Express coaches operate to White Cliffs Country from London,Victoria Coach Station. By Rail: Dover, Deal and Sandwich Stations are just a short walk from the town centres and are serviced by frequent trains from London (journey time approx 1 3/4 hours). By Air: Heathrow, Gatwick and London City airports are approx 1 1/2 hours drive. Kent International is only 20 minutes away. Getting around: Local bus timetable information is available from Stagecoach buses. White Cliffs Country has a network of cycle routes.
